Press Space or Enter to open the list. Use the arrow keys to navigate, Enter to select and Escape to close.

Semantics

Give the Trigger a label that describes the field. Keep the field label separate from the selected value.

Checklist

• Name the field through the Trigger so both its purpose and selected value are clear.
• Open the list, navigate and select with the keyboard. Check that Escape returns focus to the Trigger.
• Keep the selection indicator in sync with the value. Check that long labels are readable and disabled items are clearly marked.
